Books That Will Make You Read the Whole Day Away

Top 10 Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s list is “Read In One Sitting Theme: ten of the shortest books I’ve read, top ten books I read in one sitting, ten books to read when you are short on time, top ten books that will make you read the whole day away, etc.”

I’m going to do books that will make you read the whole day away (or at least made me read the day away).

Fandom Mashup #2

Fandom Mashup is created by Micheline (LINK HERE) and each week there is a fictional scenario and the task is to come up with 5 fictional characters from 5 different fandoms to help you in each scenario!

This week’s scenario is “A sadistic, power-hungry man has gained access to some sort of super-computer that would allow him to take over the world.  Luckily, the computer is currently encrypted but not for long. Who’s going to help you stop him from accessing all that valuable information?”

1. Kady Grant (Illuminae – book series)

Kady Grant (fanart by Grace Fong)

Kady uses her amazing hacking skills to get into the files on the ship and find out all the information she needs about the ship that’s after them. She’d be able to hack into anything and everything.

2. Penelope Garcia (Criminal Minds – TV show)

penelope garcia1

Everyone’s favourite computer tech, Garcia is the best of the best when it comes to hacking unhackable files!

3. Charlie Bradbury (Supernatural – TV show)

charlie bradbury1

The Winchesters became fast friends with Charlie after she managed to hack and copy files for them so they could take down the monsters that were taking over. Not only would Charlie be able to hack the files, but you’d get a load of pop culture references along the way.

4. Raven Reyes (The 100 – TV show)

The super smart and super badass engineer is really good with computers and could figure out how to get into anything she put her intelligent mind to.

5. Winn Schott (Supergirl – TV show)

This adorable computer genius would help me with anything, especially if it meant saving people.

This was my second Fandom Mashup weekly meme and was super fun and I’m excited to do more of these!

Update!

Hello!

I just wanted to say I haven’t completely gone off the grid!

I started my third year of university a couple of weeks ago and was SUPER busy as soon as the semester started. I’m already swamped with exams and assignments and have quite a lot to think about…

But! I’m not going to completely abandon this blog every time I have uni, there just may be certain times where there is too much to do that I can’t post anything here for a week or two.

Although, I have found in the past that I do sometimes post a lot on here during the semester because I find literally anything to do other than uni work (…whoops!)

So here’s to another stress-filled few months!

5 Things On Sunday

5 Things on Sunday is a meme created by Reads and Treats (LINK HERE) where each week there is a new topic and you write a list of 5 things relating to that topic. The topics are not necessarily about books (very few are) so you can post about non-bookish things for a little change!

*Posting this on a Monday… whoops… but I had a full day on Sunday*

This week’s topic is Words to Describe Your Week.
